When the local bank on the High St was left empty, our customer Keith stepped in and took it upon himself to renovate the building and convert it into three modernised flats, on the upper floors, and is currently operating a shop from the ground floor. The old Timber Sliding Sash Windows that were in the property were beyond repair, and rather than go for the standard uPVC Casement Windows that many local have gone for, Keith wanted to keep the traditional appearance of the Sliding Sash Windows, whilst bringing the energy efficiency and ease of a modern uPVC Window. As part of the project, Keith has also added a new Composite Door and French Doors, allowing guest access to the ground floor and improving security.
With Pateley Bridge falling in a conservation area, the appearance of the products is extremely important, and you can imagine Keith’s delight when the High Street was winner of the Great British High Street 2016. It gives us great satisfaction to see our products used so effectively and help to contribute to such a tightly knit community, and at Quickslide we would all like to send our congratulations to Keith, his wonderful family and Pateley Bridge for being awarded this prestigious prize.
