Main Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two IT professionals.
- Assign tasks, set goals, and evaluate team performance.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to the team to enhance their skills.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking.
- Ensure the reliability and security of the company’s data and technology infrastructure.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT systems, networks, and applications.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify IT needs and support manufacturing processes.
- Manage and support manufacturing software solutions (e.g., ERP, MES) to ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues impacting production efficiency.
- Develop and implement IT security policies and procedures to protect company data.
- Regularly assess and audit security practices, addressing potential vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal IT standards.
- Lead IT projects from concept to completion, including system upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
- Work closely with the leadership team to align IT strategies with business goals.
- Identify and implement innovative technologies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Assist in creating and managing the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and resource allocation.
- Monitor expenditures and provide cost-saving recommendations for IT operations.
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Maintain accurate records of IT infrastructure, software licenses, and system configurations.
- Prepare regular reports on IT performance, system issues, and project statuses for senior management.

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, systems, and operations within the company, ensuring seamless technology integration to support business objectives. This position involves managing a small team of two IT professionals and working closely with other departments to ensure optimal IT support for manufacturing operations. The IT Manager will be expected to maintain system security, optimize IT processes, and introduce innovative technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.
The Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA) are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, and systems.
- Strong knowledge of ERP, MES, and other manufacturing software solutions.
- Extensive experience in Windows Server administration and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), ensuring system stability and security.
- Strong knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as Vsphere, optimising infrastructure efficiency Qnap, San.
- Proficient in networking principles, including subnetting, VLANs, routing, and VPN management, to maintain seamless connectivity.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- In-depth knowledge of IT systems, databases, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with non-technical teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Budgeting and vendor management experience.
