Description
With this ethos in mind, leading window and door manufacturer Quickslide has again partnered with Doncaster based home builder Strata; this time to adorn 120 new Nottingham homes with stunning uPVC casement windows and French doors. The relationship builds on a journey which began in July 2021 and compliments the industry’s joint commitment to builds meeting the demand for eco-friendly products whilst still embracing an overarching passion for design and detail.
So, who are Strata? Operating across Yorkshire and the East Midlands landscape for over a century, Strata homes certainly make you look twice. Properties showcased through a contemporary website, littered with unobtrusive photography, their products reflect an authentic and affordable approach to sustainable, Scandinavian style. The new Bilborough development aims to use this look to bring simple beauty to the suburb, creating a picturesque link between city, and countryside.
Supplying a total of 850 products to a selection of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes, Quickslide were sought out by the family owned Strata for their value for money, company ethos and reputable levels of service. Peter Swift, Commercial Director at Strata commented:
“For over a century, it has been Strata’s mission to help our customers create the lives they really want. We do this by working with them to understand how they use the space in their homes to function and grow, while connecting with the design to honour simplicity, and create calm. We have been buying from Quickslide for around six months and these products have supported our methodology by placing light and flow at the centre of the new Embrace site.”
Peter continued: “The decision to select a grey external woodgrain ensured that the frames of both windows and doors offered an understated elegance and allowed the vibrant brickwork to do the talking. The depth of the earthy shade then led to considerations for interior fittings – everything from kitchen worktops to light fittings. The internal finish is a bright white, encouraging maximum reflective light into the properties, a feel which can easily be complemented with soft furnishings.”
Quickslide’s Sales and Marketing Director Tom Swallow said: “The importance of the Strata ethos was clear from the beginning; we wanted to make sure that the products we supplied fitted seamlessly with the company’s mission to provide stunning homes which inspire people to live healthy lives filled with a sense of positive wellbeing. The beautifully sculptured Deceuninck 2800 casements offer a traditional feel that sits perfectly within contemporary style and the decision to use anthracite grey woodgrain opposed to white add a touch of class deserved by these premium homes.”
Quickslide are keen to further demonstrate their commitment to the environment by offering argon gas filled insulated glass units and triple glazing options.
