Quickslide: it would be folly not to!

When you have a garden filled with sculptures and follies, it’s important to make sure your home does it justice. So, when Alan Terrill decided to self-build an extension, it was always going to be something a little more special, and one which would require unique windows to match.

Description
“I built a timber-frame single-roomed extension on the back of my house, which, after ten months, is now pretty much complete,” says Alan. “It is intended as a library to take the overspill of books from the house – and to store back issues of Follies magazine which I keep for The Folly Fellowship, which I’ve been a member of for over 35 years.”
When it came to choosing windows for his build, Alan saw Quickslide’s advert in a magazine he picked up at his local builder’s merchants:
“I’d already asked three local companies to quote for windows: one got back to me a week later, but the other two never even sent me a quote.
“I’d seen Quickslide’s advert and was impressed that they openly listed their prices, so I thought I’d get a second quote from them. Not only was it less than my first quote, Quickslide also offered more options. I was particularly impressed that they offered any RAL colour, as previously I’d only been given a fixed range of colours.”
Decision made, Alan ordered one large fixed window, one small triangular window and two vertical sliding sash windows from Quickslide.
“After I had received my quote and asked a few questions about the various options, I re-measured and modified the sizes I needed and then ordered,” says Alan. “The quotes and answers to my queries came back very quickly. I got the order in just before I went away for the summer, so by the time I got back they were ready for delivery.”
The windows made the perfect addition to his stunning extension, and Alan was also impressed by their quality: “The sliding sash is smooth, quiet and feels solid. So different to the wooden ones I had a long time ago!”
“I’d recommend anyone to look at the Quickslide range and contact them to ask any questions you may have.”
