Traditional Sliding Sash Windows for a Modern Home
Info
Emma and Henry first heard about Quickslide through a friend of a friend who had also chosen to install Quickslide’s sliding sash windows in their property and were immediately intrigued by both the quality and prices we offer. They’d been set on sliding sash windows for their modern home to bring “a feeling of age and character” to the building ever since their initial meeting with their architect.

Description
With a “traditional look and feel” in mind, small details like our seamless corner finish, run through horns and astragal bars were perfect for Emma and Henry’s project. They’ve put a lot of effort into their three-bed bungalow conversion into a six-bed detached house, so as always, it was our mission to ensure the window buying process was as straightforward as possible. With plenty of help from Adam in our sales team, they chose the perfect style for their home – a combination of contemporary and traditional elegance.
They weren’t always set on our sliding sash windows. Emma and Henry also considered going for the classic choice of wooden frames, but the practicality of uPVC won out: “We looked at timber options along with PVC but given our fairly exposed location and proximity to the sea we decided that PVC would be a much more sensible option for us in terms of maintenance. We didn’t fancy having to scaffold the house regularly to repaint timber frames!”
Emma offered some wise advice for anyone considering Quickslide sliding sash windows. “I would go and see the products in real life to get a feel for them and also check out some other suppliers so you can appreciate all the finer details the Quickslide windows have.”
“We felt the uPVC sliding sash Quickslide offered were of a much higher quality to other suppliers at the same price point.” said Emma when asked why they chose Quickslide over other suppliers. “They felt less ‘plastic’ and small details like the seamless corner finish really set them apart from others we had seen.”
