Aluminium Heritage Doors
Slim Steel-Look Frames
Our heritage doors are designed to replicate traditional steel doors, so you can enjoy modern performance without sacrificing heritage appeal. With typical sightlines of just 59mm, these doors capture the minimalistic look of traditional steel doors.
Powder-coated Aluminium
Our range of slim-profile aluminium doors are made using powder-coated aluminium profile from our go-to extruder Smart Systems. Powder coating involves the application of dry powder to the aluminium, which is then cured under heat to create a uniform finish. This coating serves as a protective barrier against harsh weather conditions, significantly prolonging the lifespan of our doors.
Polyamide Thermal Break
To enhance thermal efficiency, our aluminium doors incorporate a polyamide thermal break. This non-conductive material is placed between the inner and outer parts of the aluminium frame, effectively reducing thermal transmittance and improving energy efficiency.
Glazing Bars
Glazing bars including our 48mm horizontal transom bars and 25mm vertical astragal bars, play an important role in defining the aesthetic of our aluminium heritage doors. The surface bars can add depth and character, creating a grid-like pattern that can replicate the authentic look of traditional steel doors and enhance the appeal of the doors.
Handle Between Bars
The handle on our aluminium heritage doors is strategically and thoughtfully placed between two horizontal transoms. This design decision ensures not only functional ease of use but also aesthetic harmony. The positioning of the handle in between the transoms provides a balanced and symmetrical appearance, enhancing the overall elegance of the door.
Multi-point Locking Mechanism
All independently opening traffic doors come equipped with a robust 5-point locking mechanism as standard. This advanced locking system is meticulously designed to provide increased security and peace of mind. Accredited with a high-security status, the 5-point locking mechanism engages at multiple points along the door frame, significantly enhancing the door’s resistance to forced entry.
Black Hinges
The hinges on our aluminium heritage doors always come in a sleek black finish. This creates a seamless and cohesive appearance, perfectly matching the black gaskets that are a standard feature on our doors.
Trickle Vents
Building regulations state that trickle vents are required on virtually all glazed elements, aiming to improve indoor air quality and ensure adequate ventilation in homes and buildings. Trickle vents on heritage doors are fitted into a 42mm add-on above the door frame, allowing the vents to function effectively without compromising the elegant appearance of the doors.

Glazing Options
Double Glazing
As with our complete range of doors, our Aluminium heritage doors come with double glazing as standard. The glass unit comprises toughened clear glass as well as Low E glass, providing superior energy performance by reflecting heat back into the room. Additionally, the units are filled with argon gas to further improve insulation.
Triple Glazing
Take energy efficiency a step further by choosing our advanced triple glazed option. Incorporating three panes of glass with argon gas sealed between two insulated pockets, triple glazing can enhance insulation significantly beyond the standard.
Spacer Bars
Spacer bars are placed around the perimeter of the glazed unit in our aluminium and uPVC products. They provide crucial structural support and ensure consistent spacing between the panes. You can select from three bar colours to match your window’s aesthetic.

Laminated Glass
Upgrade your aluminium heritage doors with laminated glass for enhanced safety and peace of mind. Laminated glass offers significant safety benefits, particularly notable for its ability to hold shattered glass together with an interlayer in case of breakage. This feature ensures that even if the glass is compromised, it remains intact and minimises the risk of sharp fragments.

Weatherproofing
Aluminium heritage doors come with effective features for weatherproofing such as modern glazing, tight seals and a polyamide thermal break. The doors we manufacture have been tested to the British standards and passed with flying colours. By choosing a heritage aluminium door for your home, you can rest assured it’ll create a barrier between your cosy living space and the rainy British weather conditions outside.

Our Aluminium heritage doors have some of the most effective multi-point locking systems available. Our extensive PAS 24 upgrade includes a wide range of enhanced features required for new-builds and as standard the doors are fitted with high security cylinders for improved safeguarding.
