Aluminium Heritage Windows
Slim Aluminium Frame
The Alitherm Heritage aluminium window stands out for its super slim frames, designed to replicate the sleek sightlines of traditional steel windows. The slim frame windows not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of a property, but also maximise the glazed area to allow more natural light to enter a home.
Powder-coated Aluminium
Our range of slimline aluminium windows are made using powder-coated aluminium profile from our long-standing extruder Smart Systems. Powder coating involves the application of dry powder to the aluminium, which is then cured under heat to create a uniform finish. This coating serves as a protective barrier against harsh weather conditions, significantly prolonging the lifespan of our windows.
Polyamide Thermal Break
To enhance thermal efficiency, our aluminium windows incorporate a polyamide thermal break. This non-conductive material is placed between the inner and outer parts of the aluminium frame, effectively reducing thermal transmittance and improving energy efficiency.
Corner Bonds
Aluminium windows are not typically welded in the traditional sense used for uPVC. Instead, the assembly and joining method for our aluminium double glazing involves precision machining in which the profile is cut to size, following advanced bonding techniques including the use of high-strength adhesives.
Flat Surface Bars
Flat surface bars also known as glazing bars or in some cases astragal bars are horizontal and vertical slim pieces of frame that divide the glass panes within a window. Our bars are fixed on the glass surface with back-to-back spacer bars inside the glazed unit to give them the unit the appearance of separate sections. You might choose a bar layout for your new windows to create a classic or traditional look.
Multi-point Locking Mechanism
For enhanced security, our modern aluminium windows are fitted with a multi-point locking mechanism. This system ensures multiple locking points engage simultaneously, distributing the locking force evenly across the frame for added security and peace of mind.
Friction Stay
A friction stay is a key component used in windows to provide smooth, controlled opening and closing. Unlike traditional hinges, friction hinges allow these windows to stay open at various angles without the need for additional support or a mechanical stay. Additionally, egress hinges are available, which not only enhance the functionality of the window by allowing it to open fully for easy cleaning but also provide an escape route in case of emergencies – limitations may apply.
Trickle Vents
In line with the latest Building Regulations, our slim aluminium windows can come with trickle vents fitted into a 42mm add-on to ensure airflow even when the windows are closed. These vents, which are colour-matched to your chosen window finish, come in two sizes: 2500EA and 5000EA.
Sill Options
Our aluminium windows come with a variety of sill options to meet the functional needs of the window opening.

Glazing Options
Double Glazing
As standard, our aluminium windows are fitted with 28mm double glazing featuring a PVC warm edge spacer bar to minimise heat transfer between panes and retain more heat inside the home. The double glazing itself includes a 4mm layer of clear low E glass, designed to enhance thermal insulation by reducing heat loss through the double glazed unit.
Triple Glazing
Enhance your aluminium windows with our triple glazing option, designed to take the thermal performance to the highest possible level. With triple glazing the window will boast three panes of glass with argon gas sealed between two pockets, creating a second insulation barrier compared to double glazing. Choose triple glazed windows to enjoy improved energy efficiency and a comfortable living space all year round.
Spacer Bars
Spacer bars are placed around the perimeter of the glazed unit in our aluminium casement windows. They provide crucial structural support and ensure consistent spacing between the panes. You can select from three bar colours – black, grey, and white – to match your window’s aesthetic.

Laminated Glass
Our glass upgrades feature laminated glass, which offers improved safety. In the event of breakage, laminated glass stays intact, minimising the risk of injury from sharp fragments. It is commonly used in doors and windows where the glass could be subject to impact.
Venetian Integral Blinds
For added convenience and style, consider Venetian integral blinds, integrated within the double-glazed unit. These blinds offer privacy and light control, available in 10 different colours to complement your window’s frame finish. Please note that the operational device will always be positioned on the right-hand side (viewed internally).

Weatherproofing
Our Legacy uPVC sash windows are built to last and to resist the ever-changing conditions the British weather throws at them, all without losing their immaculate appearance. Our sash windows have successfully been tested against wind speeds of up to 120mph to achieve a 1200 rating, while for water tightness it withstood being sprayed with eight litres of water per minute for 40 minutes with zero leakage, earning it a higher-level Class 6A classification.
Thermal Efficiency
Our steel-looking windows are made of thermally broken aluminium to prevent excessive heat loss from occurring. This polyamide thermal break will help reduce the cold from penetrating through the profile, keeping the internal space at an optimum temperature for longer. As a result, they can make a sustainable choice for any project, helping the homeowner reduce their carbon footprint over time. They boast incredibly low U-values, as low as 1.3W/m²K with triple glazing.
