Aluminium Casement Windows
Chamfered Smooth Profile
Our aluminium casement windows feature a smooth chamfered profile. The angled chamfered edge provides a sleek and contemporary finish making them an ideal choice for homeowners and specifiers alike. Additionally, some say that the chamfered design allows for easier cleaning and maintenance, ensuring the windows remain in great condition with minimal effort.
If you’re looking for a decorative sculptured profile, our uPVC casement windows may be the choice for you.
Powder-coated Aluminium
The aluminium profile we use to make our durable aluminium range is powder-coated by the extruder Smart Systems. Powder coating is a process where a dry powder is applied to the aluminium profiles and then cured under heat to form a hard, smooth, and uniform finish. This coating provides a robust barrier against harsh weather conditions, significantly extending the lifespan of the windows.
Polyamide Thermal Break
Modern aluminium frames like the ones used in our classic casement windows feature a thermal break – which in our case is made from polyamide which is a non-conductive material inserted between the inner and outer parts of the aluminium frame to reduce thermal transmittance.
Corner Bonds
Aluminium frames are not typically welded in the traditional sense used for uPVC. Instead, the assembly and joining method for our aluminium double glazing involves precision machining in which the profile is cut to size, following advanced bonding techniques including the use of high-strength adhesives.
Flat Surface Bars
Flat surface bars also known as glazing bars or in some cases astragal bars are horizontal and vertical slim pieces of frame that divide the glass panes within a window. The bars are fixed on the glass surface with back-to-back spacer bars inside the glass unit to give the unit the appearance of separate sections. You might choose a bar layout for your new windows to create a classic or traditional look.
Multi-point Locking Mechanism
For enhanced security, our modern aluminium windows are fitted with a multi-point locking mechanism. This system ensures multiple locking points engage simultaneously, distributing the locking force evenly across the frame for added security and peace of mind.
Friction Stay
A friction stay is a key component used in casement windows to provide smooth, controlled opening and closing. Unlike traditional hinges, friction hinges allow these windows to stay open at various angles without the need for additional support or a mechanical stay. Additionally, egress hinges are available, which not only enhance the functionality of the window by allowing it to open fully for easy cleaning but also provide an escape route in case of emergencies – limitations may apply.
Trickle Vents
In line with the latest Building Regulations, our aluminium windows include trickle vents fitted into the head of the sash to allow for airflow even when the windows are closed. These vents, which are colour-matched to your chosen window finish, come in two sizes: 2500EA and 5000EA.
Sill Options
Our aluminium windows come with a variety of sill options to meet the functional needs of the window opening.

Glazing Options
Double Glazing
As standard, our aluminium windows are fitted with a double gazing panel with a depth of 28mm. They feature a uPVC warm edge spacer bar to minimise heat transfer between panes and retain more heat inside the home. The glass itself includes a 4mm layer of clear low E glass, designed to enhance thermal insulation by reducing heat loss through the glass unit.
Triple Glazing
Enhance your home with our triple glazing option, designed to take the thermal performance to the highest possible level. With triple glazing the window will boast three panes of glass with argon gas sealed between two pockets, creating a second insulation barrier compared to double glazing. Choose triple glazed windows to enjoy improved energy efficiency and a comfortable living space all year round.
Spacer Bars
Spacer bars are placed around the perimeter of the glazed unit in our casement window range. They provide crucial structural support and ensure consistent spacing between the panes. You can select from three bar colours to match your window’s aesthetic.

Laminated Glass
Our glass upgrades include laminated glass for enhanced safety. Laminated glass remains intact if broken, reducing the risk of injury from sharp pieces. Laminated glass is often used in doors and windows installed in areas where the glass could be subject to impact.
Venetian Integral Blinds
For added convenience and style, consider Venetian integral blinds, integrated within the double-glazed unit. These blinds offer privacy and light control, available in 10 different colours to complement your window’s frame finish. Please note that the operational device will always be positioned on the right-hand side of the opening (viewed internally).
