Aluminium Flush Casement Windows

Flush External Contours
Our flush casement windows replicate the traditional timber look with sashes that sit flush within the frame, making them ideal for both modern homes characterised by clean lines and minimalism. In urban environments or homes with an industrial design theme, aluminium flush windows fit well due to their flush, uncluttered window profiles.

Chamfered Smooth Profile
One of the key features of our aluminium windows is their chamfered profile. Externally, the profiles are chamfered, which goes hand in hand with the flush design offering a sleek look that can enhance the kerb appeal of a property. Additionally, some say that the chamfered profile allows for easier cleaning and maintenance, ensuring the windows remain in great condition with minimal effort.

Powder-coated Aluminium
The aluminium profile we use to make our durable aluminium flush windows is powder-coated by the extruder Smart Systems. Powder coating is a process where a dry powder is applied to the aluminium profiles and then cured under heat to form a hard, smooth, and uniform finish. This coating provides a robust barrier against harsh weather conditions, significantly extending the lifespan of the windows.

Polyamide Thermal Break
Modern aluminium frames such as our flush casement windows feature a thermal break – which in our case is made from polyamide which is a non-conductive material inserted between the inner and outer parts of the aluminium frame to reduce thermal transmittance.

Corner Bonds
Aluminium products are not typically welded in the traditional sense used for uPVC. Instead, the assembly and joining method for each aluminium window involves precision machining in which the profile is cut to size, following advanced bonding techniques including the use of high-strength adhesives.

Flat Surface Bars
Flat surface bars also known as glazing bars or in some cases astragal bars are horizontal and vertical slim pieces of frame that divide the glass panes within a window. Surface bars can be used to create a traditional appearance on modern aluminium flush windows. They mimic the look of grid windows without the need for actual separate glass panes.

Multi-point Locking Mechanism
For enhanced security, our flush aluminium windows are fitted with a multi-point locking mechanism. This system ensures multiple locking points engage simultaneously, distributing the locking force evenly across the frame for added security and peace of mind.

Friction Stay
A friction stay is a key component used in casement windows to provide smooth, controlled opening and closing. Unlike traditional hinges, friction hinges allow these windows to stay open at various angles without the need for additional support or a mechanical stay. Additionally, egress hinges are available, which not only enhance the functionality of the window by allowing it to open fully for easy cleaning but also provide an escape route in case of emergencies – limitations may apply.

Trickle Vents
In line with the latest Building Regulations, our aluminium windows are available with trickle vents fitted into a 35mm add-on above the window outer frame to ensure airflow even when the windows are closed. Our vents, which are colour-matched to your chosen window finish, come in two sizes: 2500EA and 5000EA.

Sill Options
Our aluminium windows come with a variety of sill options to meet the functional needs of the window opening.

Glazing Options
Double Glazing
As standard, our aluminium flush windows are fitted with 24mm double glazing featuring a PVC warm edge spacer bar to minimise heat transfer between panes and retain more heat inside the home. The glass itself includes a 4mm layer of clear low E glass, designed to enhance thermal insulation by reducing heat loss through the glass unit.
Spacer Bars
Spacer bars are placed around the perimeter of the glazed unit in our flush casement windows. They provide crucial structural support and ensure consistent spacing between the panes. You can select from three bar colours to match your window’s aesthetic.

Laminated Glass
Our glass upgrades include laminated glass for enhanced safety. Laminated glass remains intact if broken, reducing the risk of injury from sharp pieces. Laminated glass is often used in doors and windows installed in areas where the glass could be subject to impact.
Venetian Integral Blinds
For added convenience and style, consider Venetian integral blinds, integrated within the glazed unit. These blinds offer privacy and light control, available in 3 different colours to complement your window’s frame finish. Please note that the operational device will always be positioned on the right-hand side (viewed internally).

Weatherproofing
The flush casement window has not only been engineered to demonstrate a unique flush design, but also a top of the class weather performance. Advanced tight seals help shield against rain, wind, and snow, and the double glazed unit help keep energy bills low and maintain a comfortable indoor temperature year-round.
Thermal Efficiency
It’s the well thought-through composition of the thermally broken aluminium profile found beneath the external flush design that enables this window to achieve an outstanding U-value of 1.5 W/m2K. The aluminium flush casement windows enable homeowners to get a solution that’s beautiful and performs inside out.
Security
Our aluminium windows have been security tested to PAS 24, and our flush fitting system is no exclusion to that. Please note PAS 24 security is an upgrade.
